A Place to Find the Perfect Meal
Lady Ashburnham Pickles
6 large cucumbers, peeled, seeded and cut fine.
Add 1/4cup salt and let stand overnight.
Drain in the morning.
Add :
1 red pepper, diced
1qt chopped onions
1pint(2 cups) of vinegar
2 cups sugar ( can be a mix of brown and white)
3Tbsp flour
1Tbsp dry mustard
1Tbsp tumeric
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp mustard seed
Cook until thickened. Be careful as it will stick andburn very easily
Bottle and enjoy.
Makes 5-6 medium bottles.
