Chocolate Pudding Cake

  

2 cup water

2 Tbsp cocoa  

1 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

¾ cup sugar

½ tsp salt

2 Tbsp oil

1 tsp vanilla                             

½ cup milk

 

Topping:

¾ cup sugar

¼ cup cocoa

 

Boil water. Combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add vanilla, oil and milk. Mix well. Spread evenly in a dish. Combine sugar and cocoa for topping and sprinkle over the top of the cake. Pour boiling water over all. Microwave 9-10 minutes on high.

 

To make White Cake with Butterscotch Sauce:

 

Use same recipe with these changes: Omit the cocoa in cake and replace with 2 tbsp of flour. For the topping, mix together ¾ cup brown sugar and ¼ cup flour. Melt 2 Tbsp of butter in the water before pouring over cake. Cook 9-10 minutes on high.
