A Place to Find the Perfect Meal
Apple Crisp
4 cups of chopped apples (approx. 5 med. size apples)
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup rolled oats
Place sliced apples in baking dish, add white sugar and nutmeg and toss to cover fruit. Spread evenly in baking dish.
Combine flour,salt, shortening, brown sugar and rolled oats. Mix together in til crumbly. Spread over top of fruit.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are soft. Serve while hot with ice cream or whipped cream.
